Senior Media Sales Lead

Own our demand side end to end. Get UbuntuNet onto agency planning schedules, close our biggest brand and sponsorship deals, and build the sales team beneath you.

The role

This is the most important hire in the company right now. You turn signed inventory into agency and brand revenue, and you build the sales function from the ground up.

What you'll own

Build the agency relationships and get UbuntuNet onto planning lists as a new, measured media channel.
Personally close the Brand Partner tier and the title and fleet sponsors, the partnership-shaped deals founders cannot scale.
Convert the existing pipeline into signed, recurring revenue, holding rate-card integrity across every tier.
Recruit, train and manage a team of commission-based Media Sales Executives. Set territories, targets and playbooks.
Own pipeline discipline, forecasting and monthly revenue reporting. Run the CRM as the single source of truth.
Structure and negotiate deals (exclusivity, dayparting, packages, sponsorship) within the rate card and our regulatory positioning.
Feed market and pricing intelligence back to the founders and product.

What you bring

7 to 10+ years in media sales, with a proven, current agency Rolodex, ideally from a media owner in OOH, transit, airport, broadcast or premium digital.
A track record of personally closing six-figure-monthly media deals and hitting revenue targets.
Experience building and managing a sales team, not just carrying a bag.
Deep South African market fluency: who buys, how agencies plan, how sponsorship is structured.
Comfort in a startup, building the function rather than inheriting it.

Bonus points

Transit, OOH or DOOH sales specifically.
Existing brand-side CMO or marketing-manager relationships.
An understanding of audience measurement and programmatic.
Experience selling a new or unproven channel.
