UbuntuNet is built to measure audiences, not to identify people. Every sensor counts anonymously, every reading is aggregated at the edge, and everything we do is designed to comply with South African law.
UbuntuNet (Pty) Ltd operates under the Protection of Personal Information Act. Our measurement products are built to collect no personal information — no images are stored, and no individual is ever identified.
UbuntuNet holds a valid B-BBEE certificate. Request a copy for your procurement or supplier-verification records through the contact form.
Audience data is aggregated at the sensor and reported as counts and segments in UbuntuInsights — auditable, and never traceable to a person.
Our sensors are counters, not cameras that keep what they see. Readings are summarised on the device at the site before they ever reach the cloud, so there is no raw feed to expose or misuse — only aggregate figures, surfaced together in UbuntuInsights.
Under POPIA you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its processing. UbuntuNet has appointed an Information Officer to handle these requests, and our access-to-information manual is published in line with Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA).
