Pay for what actually happened.

Campaigns are priced on two things: a flighting cost for verified reach, and — where it applies — a fee for each verified action. No modelled numbers, no self-serve surprises.

Two things you can pay for

Every campaign has a flighting cost. Outcome pricing sits on top of it — you add it when you want to pay for actions, not just exposure.

Flighting cost · always charged

You pay for verified reach

A CPM — a price per thousand impressions — charged against the audience that sensors actually counted at the placement. This is what it costs to put your creative in front of commuters, drivers and shoppers, and it is billed on every campaign.

Available on transit, billboard and venue placements.

Outcome pricing · charged on top

You pay per verified action

A cost-per-action, added to the flighting cost, that only applies when a real person does something — and only once it has been verified. It needs an interactive layer, so it runs on transit and venue placements, not billboards. The billable actions are:

  • Ad click
  • Content click
  • Directions requested
  • Coupon saved
  • Lead submitted
  • Store visit

A campaign can be pure reach, or reach plus outcomes — the flighting cost is the floor, and outcome pricing is what you add when you want to be billed on results.

Reach or outcome — start with the goal

The goal you pick decides how you are billed. Awareness goals are priced on reach; the rest are priced on the actions they are built to produce.

Billboards are measurement, not clicks

A static face is priced on reach only — never on a cost-per-action.

We can prove how many people passed a billboard and who they were, measured by UbuntuVision, UbuntuSense and UbuntuCount. But there is nothing on a static face to interact with, so it carries a CPM and a frequency, and no outcome pricing. If you need to pay for actions, the campaign runs on transit and venue placements, where an interactive layer exists.

If you operate the media

Media owners and operators stand up the network under one of three models. Pricing scales with the size of the deployment and the products switched on.

Measurement only

Deploy the sensor stack and UbuntuInsights for audience measurement — without ad serving.

Per-site monthly licence + hardware deployment

Measurement + ads

Add UbuntuAds campaign delivery on top of the measurement stack.

CPM-based campaign pricing + measurement licence

Full stack

Hardware, WiFi connectivity, measurement, analytics and ad serving — the complete platform.

How we keep pricing honest

Measured, not modelled

A CPM is charged against impressions counted by sensors at the point of exposure — not a number extrapolated from a traffic survey.

Verified before billed

Every outcome is checked before it is charged. Actions we cannot verify are rejected, and rejected actions are never billed.

Quoted individually

Cost depends on your network size, the products required and the deployment scope. Everything is quoted in rands (ZAR), excluding VAT at 15%.

No self-serve, no surprises

Accounts are provisioned by our team. We scope the campaign and the number with you before anything runs — usually in the same conversation.

Pricing questions

Get a number, not a rate card.

Every deployment is quoted individually in rands, excluding VAT. Tell us the goal and the scale, and we will scope the campaign and the price in the same conversation.
